Cottage Gardens

Cottage gardens conjure up small gardens full to the brim of plants, so much so that the plants dominate the garden and why not. Mix every colour and shape and pack them all into a small space to create a sense of fun.

These gardens offer somewhere to potter about in and loose yourself for a while.  All those little nooks and crannies to hide gardening objects, like those that you see in the small Chelsea Flower Show gardens.  Objects like old bikes, wheelbarrows, pots, even boots can add fun and personalise your garden.

Cottage gardens are different from the other styles because they tend to be based more on plants and less on structure.  The garden becomes the place to place your finds - the plant that you bought whilst on holiday, the old watering can that your granny used to use. Do not be afraid to move the plants around and change things – have fun and experiment.

So why not see just how much you can pack into a small space and garden in miniature.  It might be small but that certainly does not mean that the lack of space will dent the thrill of a cottage garden.  Get some inspiration and call Barry for some ideas on what to do with a small space - your gardens will make you happy!
