Landscape design, schemes and plans

Why you need landscape plans

Landscape plans are an important part of any landscape design as they detail the layout of the site

for both the hard elements, such as the drive, walls, terraces, paths and buildings as well as the planting.

It is essential to commission accurate  plans that are drawn to scale are approved before an estimate

or quote can be properly costed. In order for both the client and the contractor to understand exactly

what outcome is expected a set of landscape plans are required.

From this point on the costs are known and any alterations can be tracked and duly costed.

Therefore, it is wise to carefully study all the plans and accompanying materials to ensure that you

understand the scheme before work begins.

Planning Permission

For those involved in the planning system due to new developments, extensions and boundary

alterations then the planning authorities will require  copies of the landscape plan in order to approve

the whole scheme.
