Risk Management for Gardens

Garden risk management includes Health and Safety policies exist to ensure that garden owners and their staff are able to operate in a safe environment, with adequate welfare facilities.

It is important that an assessment is made on the various activities, then advice can be given on controlling risks in order to comply with current legislation.

An assessment will examine whether the plant and equipment is safe to use and how safe systems of work are being implemented. This will also take into account whether there are suitable arrangements in place for controlling risks to health in connection with the use, handling, storage and transport of articles and substances.

Owners and staff are provided with sufficient information and training to ensure that their health and safety is managed with minimal risk within the garden environment.
